very interesting
how do you get two to bfferent types of trees to become one and grow in to eachother as one
Yes you can.
Can’t you plant the ones you cut off in the same pot?
Hi Caramia,
Bamboo is pretty hardy. You may get some shoots growing from the rhizomes. Try to root them.
Looking forward to the Challah lesson. Have a great holiday!!!!

Hi Jerry, I just tore out an entire hedge of bamboo. I wish I could have bonsaied it in the beginning. Great video. Tomarrow is Challah bread making on my show….Thanks for the recipe-Caramia
I think that the kind I have is the same as the one you grow there =) It runs in the spring but not more than a few inches to a foot of the main clump.
Hi,
Give it a try. The running type of bamboo is easier to propagate than the clumping kind.

I have some bamboo growing down by a creek by my home. It seems to love it there since im sure the PH of the soil is pretty nice due to the iron or sulfur that runs in the creek from a mine that is off behind my garage.
I was as well thinking of doing a bamboo bonsai this spring when I get some new growth.
