NEW DELHI: Uttar Pradesh has a lot of potential in agro industry that includes food processing, horticulture, fruit and vegetable production. Its richness in primary sector suitable reflected in the Food and Technology Expo that held at Pragati Maidan.
The state showcased benefits of various agricultural plans related to horticulture, floriculture, sericulture, irrigation plants, agriculture research, fisheries, animal husbandry, dairy development and many more. The state-sponsored schemes also got adequate attention from the visiting people. The projects launched by the State Agriculture Produce Marketing Board are promising to provide several benefits to the state farmers, as can access quick and appropriate information on mobile phones.
Likewise, the projects related to food processing and veterinary research got exquisite highlight in the show. The state has also displayed the models of food processing plants that are under construction. Its stall highlighted that agricultural technology being applied for the production of various cereals and variety of fruits like mango, banana and guava. Overall, it tried to depict a goody-goody picture of the condition of agro industry in the state in order to attract more investors as well as agro business stakeholders and farmers.
