Boa Constrictors are a very difficult snake to reproduce, Of all the types I have bred in the pst, the boas are by far the most challenging. If you have any questions about breeding these guysplease call me at 408.981.6694 or e-mail me at fgsnakes@sbcglobal.net

Hello Fgs9.
When you say it is difficult to breed boas, do you mean there is a low chance of them becoming gravid, or that the process is difficult? Thanks, i thumbs up ur vid btw 🙂
i remember him going to my school san miguel and i remember big moma and buzz ithink buzz is cool
@heretic98 It is unclear why it is so difficult to breed boas, but boas are among the most difficult of snakes to succesfully reproduce. I myself find that breeding boas is very challenging. If your goal is to produce albino boas, I would get an albino and a het for albino. It you bred het to het, you would produce aome albinos and possible hets. Wjy produce possible hets. Atleast if you produced hets, it would be easier to sell the babies.
Good luck

What are the key reasons they are difficult to breed? I was thinking of getting a pair of H Albinos (Colombian) for future breeding, is this a wise start?
Thanks, and thanks for the great video!
hey brian i wanted to know can i breed my corn snake and my ball python
@boasrbeast
Yes breeding hognose is just like breeding colubrids, us eht esame technique and your out come should be good.
Great question.
Brian / FGS
great video brian. i was wondering if breeding the western hognose snake is the same process as most other colubrids….or is there some kind of trick to it? i havnt tried yet, but i am looking forward to it next season.
Hey Brian, I just have a qucik question about aspen bedding. I used to buy it from reptile stores or at shows but I buy it from Wal-Mart now because it so much cheaper. I was just wondering if the Wal-Mart aspen bedding was ok for reptiles since it is not from a reptile specialty place. and it smells a little different from the stuff I used to use.

@raziel72 It’s not about how the size of the male compares to the size of the female. Half of males will breed at 18 months old and a female is ready to breed when she is atleast 6 feet long and weighs 10 pounds or more. If you have any more questions feel free to call me at 408.981.6694.
