  1. no im not… stressing them FORCES them to pupate the only reason the pupate when seperaated is because they arent in contact with othe worms that will bother them in the pupating process… so if you give um food (wich i dont do) they can store up energy and pupate when they know they are ready… please take some biology before you say soeones wrong next time

  2. you can give them food… it actually increases he success rate becuase they can store the energy the gain from the food

  3. You actually DO need to seperate to turn into pupa. If yours just turned into a pupa without being seperated, you probably have a mealworm.

  4. Your not gonna get any beetles by that cause if you want beetles, you need to seperate them WITHOUT food or water.

  5. how long does it take for the to turn into a pupa n what color do they turn? if their black their dead i know.

  6. when you breed them you need something like a roll without paper towel on it and you put that in there with them so they can lay there eggs on it

  7. well im not sure if its the same bug , but i did it with spaghetti and pasta, and i got beetles growing iside. it also works with old rice.

  8. I feed potatoes to the beetles and carrots or veggies to the worms, I sometimes give banana, apples.

Beetles life is aprox 1 year

  9. Cool, started mine a few days ago Supers and mealworms tried of going to the pet store every week, I want to try locust this coming summer/fall. People are split on rather to put food in with them personally I do, some say if you don’t put food in with them it causes them more stress and go pupa faster but I don’t know….. imo looks like you would have more die that way.
