Can you put that beetle in another container, where it can get sunlight. It looks like it’s in an inhumane breeding mill.

@eliotchew ha thats what i was thinking when he did that to.
I feed mine raw bran, it’s cheaper than rolled oats and makes it easy to sift out the worms with a sieve.

is it beter to keep your mealworms in bran or otes
You need to start with about 1000 worms and remove the pupae VERY fast.
There are A LOT of web sites on this phenomenon.
