The Saovang Joint-stock Rubber Company (SRC), formerly the Saovang Rubber Company which was established in 1960, is specialized in producing tires and tubes for jet airplanes, automobiles, special-purpose vehicles, motorbikes, bicycles and technical rubber products.

Born to be the first factory of Vietnam’s rubber industry, SRC is the technical centre in the following categories:

• Structure design and analysis for high-ranking rubber products;

• Provision of prescription formulas and development of rubber processing methods;

• Introduction of advanced technologies in investigation, analysis and testing for completion of production technology;

• Design, testing and manufacture of technical means including a variety of moulds, tools, spare parts, accessories, machines and equipment in the field of manufacturing rubber products.

SRC has had enormous investments in terms of budget, human resources, and material sources in production development in order to bring onto the market SRC-branded rubber products that can meet consumers’ increasingly higher demands and that feature specific suitability to Vietnam’s road conditions, use characteristics and weather. The Company’s capacity of producing main products is as follows:

• Automobile tires and tubes: more than 500,000 sets per year

• Motorbike tires: 2,500,000 sets per year

• Motorbike tubes: 7,000,000 sets per year

• Bicycle tires: 8.000.000 sets per year

• Bicycle tubes: 10.000.000 sets per year

To specify its commitments to product quality, the Company pays special attention to quality supervision conducted at every production stage. Products bearing the trade name of *SRC is currently qualified by the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management system certified by BVQI.

With reputed high quality products, SRC has gained various prestigious prizes, for example, as follows:

• The Golden Award – Vietnam’s Quality Prize awarded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment;

• The Scientific – Technological Invention (VIFOTEC) Prize awarded for the Research on Production of Military-Purposed Airplane Tires;
