Wilmar Agro Viet Nam Co., Ltd. which was formerly named Cai Lan Oils & Fats Industries Company Ltd., – Can Tho Branch, was founded in 2003, located in Hung Phu 1 Industrial Park, Tan Phu ward, Cai Rang district, Can Tho city, Business activities include oil extraction, sourcing and processing food and agricultural products.

Since October, 2008, Wilmar Agro Viet Nam Co., Ltd. has officially become a totally foreign-invested company and belonged to Wilmar International Group, a top corporation producing, processing and trading all types of oils and fats, food and agricultural products with its headquarter in Singapore.

Wilmar Agro Viet Nam Co., Ltd. is putting a focus on the field of rice bran trade and rice-bran oil extraction with the capacity of 500 tons of material per day. This is a pioneer on the field of agricultural products in Vietnam market, using advanced German technology in the production line.

Wilmar Agro Viet Nam Co., Ltd. takes advantages on abundant source of raw rice bran in the Mekong Delta to extract into high-quality oil for export. Defatted rice-bran, known as protein-rich rice bran of Cam Vang brand, is supplied to feed production mills and factories over the country, especially in the Mekong Delta and the South East region.

The company has an oil-extraction factory at Hung Phu Industrial Park, founded on an area of 4 hectares; two material collection centers and primarily processing raw materials in Thot Not – Can Tho and Cai Be – Tien Giang. There is a project for a new oil extraction factory on an area of 2 hectares in the Thot Not Industrial Park that is carried out and expected to be completed the first phase on the middle of 2009 and last stage in 2010.

The company is setting up a plan to increase production capacity and to develop business strategy from now to 2010. More centers to buy and primarily process raw material in the Mekong Delta will be established at the same time when business activities spread widely in the northern region to achieve the goal- to become a top company in the field of extraction and trade of oil and rice bran in Viet Nam.

The company always contributes social benefits such as supporting victims of Can Tho Bridge, helping the old folks and orphans, financing scholarship to support the poor & good pupils in Tan Phu Ward, Cai Rang District …

For many years, Wilmar Agro Viet Nam has been preferred by aquaculture farmers in the Mekong Delta and won a prize "A Farmer’s Friend" at International Trade Fairs in Can Tho.
