Company introduction

Savimex Corp. was established on August 29, 1985 under the name of SAIGON – VIENTIANNE import – export company, in brief SAVIMEX starting up operations by cooperating with Laos in wood export business, exchanges of timber from Laos and consumer goods from Ho Chi Minh City.
Savimex developed and expanded the import – export operations with Russia, Laos, Japan, Singapore, Hongkong, Taiwan, etc. Main export products were Round logs, sawn timber, floor board, agro/sea-products. Main import products were chemicals, consumer goods, wood-working machines, etc. This is the preparatory accummulation stage for later development.
SAVIMEX switched from agriculture, forest and seafood products business to production and export of household wood items by building and developing wood processing factories.
In 2001, to ensure the quality homogeneity and the accuracy in working the panel parts for tables and cabinets, we installed and operated an automatic panel production line to have the panel parts processed via different stages of sawing, cutting, moulding, boring, doweling, grooving, and edge sticking.
In March 2002, Satimex became the first Vietnamese processing factory to receive to build and maintain an environmental management system under ISO 14001 to protect the environment of the factory.
In 2003, we invested fully wood processing line from forming to painting phase to export furniture to USA.
In 2004, we invested in new factory which had been equiped with a fully and modern production line imported from Japan for exports to USA, EU and for domestic demands.
Modernized management technology with Oracle E-Business Suite (Special Edition).
