MUSCAT — The Public Authority for Consumer Protection has set a sale price of RO 85 for Australian livestock in abattoirs in Muscat Governorate and RO 90 in the rest of the country. This was made in co-ordination with the importing company. Officials will inspect abattoirs and markets to ensure adherence and book violators.
The decision is part of efforts to provide consumers with suitably priced basic commodities of high rate of consumption especially during Eid. Meanwhile, a branch office of the authority opened in Dhofar Governorate yesterday in the presence of the chairman Dr Said bin Khamis al Kaabi.
