Ukraine. Grain output 48-50 million tons in 2011/2012 MY

Grain output in Ukraine in 2011/2012 marketing year will be 48-50 million tons, oil-bearing culture – 11-12 million tons, this forecast was made by Kernel agroholding analysts.
With such a production level, an export potential this season will be 20 million tons of grain crops, 3 million tons of rape and soya and 3 million tons of sunflower seeds.
Barley output will be at the level of the previous season and wheat output will grow from 17 million to 21 million tons (+23.5%). Corn output will grow by 37%, from 12 million tons in 2010 to 16-17 million tons.
Taking into consideration transit stocks at 5 million tons against 3 million tons as of the beginning of 2010-2011season, the company forecasts the export potential of wheat, barley and corn at 20 million tons against 11 million tons in 2010-2011 season.
Rape, soya and sunflower seed production is forecasted at 11-12 million tons. In particular, rape output – 1.4 million tons (at the previous year level), its export – 0.9-1.2 million tons and sunflower seeds – at the level of 8 million tons.
