Russia increased the forecast of grain exports to 23 mln tonnes

tải xuống (10) In the third time during recent weeks, Russia increased the forecast of grain exports – up to 23 mln tonnes. The country plans to export 20-23 mln tonnes of grains, declared Elena Skrynnik, Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, on August 8.

According to her, Russia already exported 2.6 mln tonnes of grains in the current season, an increase of almost 25% compared to last year.

The Minister of Agriculture confirmed the previously declared forecast of the general grain production in 2011 at the level of 85-90 mln tonnes. The Minister said that wheat harvest will exceed the results of 2010 by 35%.

As a reminder, previously the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation forecasted grain export volumes at the level of 20 mln tonnes (July 25) and 18 mln tonnes (July 21).
