Vietnamese Orchid Society

anvietnam.org, the Web site of the Orange County Vietnamese Orchid Society, a nonprofit organization.
Our Web site was created in August 2004 by Vietnamese orchid lovers in Southern California. Our aim was to help people understand orchids, especially those species that thrive in the wilderness of Vietnam. Since we started, we have had more than 10 million viewers from all over the world.

Most of the articles are written in Vietnamese. Some of the articles are translated from lectures originally written in English by authors such as Dr. Leonid V. Averyanov from University Komarov in Saint Petersburg, Russia; Dr. Karel Petrzelka of Czechoslovakia; and Botanist Gruss Olaf of Germany. At this site, you will find many pictures, stories, poems, paintings, music, and video clips about the most beautiful, most striking, and most glamorous orchids. Going forward, we hope to translate more short stories, poems, and research papers into English and enable all orchid lovers to share their varied experiences with this most fascinating flower.
Our monthly meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month at Presbyterian Church of Garden Grove, 11832 Euclid, Garden Grove, CA 92843. You are welcome to attend. The main language spoken at our meetings is Vietnamese but we will do our best to help answer any questions. There are always really nice flowers and pictures to look at. We also help identify orchids and hold plant auctions, door prizes, and raffles.
