Visitors to this year’s Potatoes in Practice (PiP) event – Britain’s largest field-based potato event dedicated to the potato industry – being held at SCRI’s Balruddery Farm near Dundee on 11 August – are encouraged to visit Certis who will be demonstrating their unique portfolio of crop protection technologies for the potato crop sector.
Certis announced their appointment as the primary distribution partner for soil insecticide Mocap (ethoprophos) earlier this year. It’s the latest product to join their expanding portfolio of potato crop protection solutions which also includes soil sterilant Metam 510.
Offering technical support to potato growers from soil preparation right through to harvest, their demonstrations at PiP will also include new options for potato desiccation and weed control.
Certis’ potato range is now amongst the most comprehensive of any in the UK, featuring – in addition to Mocap and Metam 510 – potato seed treatment products Fungazil, RhiNo DS and RhiNo Liquid as well as blight fungicide Valbon; aphicide InSyst; 3% ferric phosphate slug pellet Sluxx and the GroStop range of CIPC storage treatments.
Certis will be on hand to provide much needed guidance and technical advice as well as providing an update of the latest research and development work being undertaken for UK growers.
