Global rapeseed production to fall 1.5% as European output declines

tải xuống (4) GLOBAL rapeseed production will fall 1.5% in the 2011-12 marketing year on a decline in the EU, Oil World said.

World output will drop to 59.1 million metric tons from 59.98m tons in the prior period, the Hamburg-based researcher said.
EU output will slide 8.3% to 18.88m tons as usage declines 3.6%, it said. Wet weather delayed EU harvesting. Chinese output will fall 4.9% to 11.6m tons, the report showed.
"Harvesting was considerably delayed during July in many regions," the researcher said. "Latest harvest reports, however, have turned out somewhat better than feared."

* Whole milk power for October delivery fell 0.6% from two weeks earlier, according to a trade- weighted price index calculated by Fonterra Cooperative Group.
The average price was $3,477 a metric ton.
* Archer Daniels Midland, the world’s largest grain processor, reported a 15% drop in fiscal fourth-quarter profit after tax expenses rose and corn prices advanced.
Net income was $381 million (€268.5m) in the three months ended June 30, compared with $446m a year earlier, the US company said yesterday.
