DEVELOPMENT HISTORY OF GOSACO JSC

GOSACO is a wood materials supplier with 20 years of experience., with current market spreading from Vietnam to many other countries. It provide three categories of products including log timber, sawn timber, and box timer;Veneers presented onto MDF, HDF, OKAL, plywood, standard wooden bars etc; and wooden furniture: wooden doors, wooden bricks, solid wooden floors, and various standard & industrial transom-bars.

GOSACO is fully able to arrange the materials resources for production through its cooperation with domestic and foreign partners in creating plantations, exploiting available sources to process and make high value commercial products. GOSACO’s factories together can produce 50,000 M3 of finished products annually. The factories are equipped with advanced technological lines for wood treatment, dying and drying, moisture balancing, treatment against deformation and defecting factors from the environment and weather in accordance with international standard.

GOSACO is now having a wide network throughout Vietnam comprising large branches in Ha Noi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and 15 agents level I or II, meeting the demand of customers in the fields of housing construction and trading, processing wood for export, making high standard wooden furniture, and supply for construction works as well.
The Company has a chain of production factories located in Salavan, Binh Duong, Gia Lai Kom Tum covering a total area of 120,000 M2.

As for the production base in Binh Duong, with professional engineers and skilled workers, high quality products made here have helped GOSACO win many prestigious titles and awards like the "Vietnam High Quality Product", "Vietnam Gold-Star Award" and set its foothold as one of the leading trademarks of Vietnam construction industry. In the integration into the world economy, GOSACO has already built a suitable orientation for its future, and drawn a long term strategy for its development, which is involved of "equitization" to enable it expand production capacity, open new distribution channels and set up more plantations and exploitation projects. Its target now is to successfully establishwood material distributing centers in Ho Chi Minh City and at the market triangle in Tan Tao Commune of Tan Uyen District – Binh Duong Province, which will occupy an area of 50 hectares, adjacent to HCMC and Dong Nai Province and holding a strategic location for both inland and marine transportation routes.

Its business performance has continuously exceeded the projected yearly target, with 130-150 billion VND of revenue and ex-import volume value of 1.2 million USD. In 2007, its charter capital has been increased to 5 billion VND. The past 17 years have witnessed its revenue growth rate of 20% – 30% year to year.
Obstacles to its equitization process in the integration into the world economy are being resolved. According to plan, all the procedures and formalities for the equitization will be completed in 2007 so that GOSACO can issue its stocks to the public in 2008. One third of the investors to GOSACO have become strategic shareholders. The equitization is aimed atcompetitiveness improvement, and expansion investment for production bases, plantations, materials exploitation and widening its overseas markets, among them the ASEAN, the US and EU are the markets of instant focus.

GOSACO production base in Binh Duong is an integrated complex consisting of big factories equipped with advanced technological lines from Japan, Taiwan, Germany and Italia, specializing in processing wood materials and making wooden furniture.

• Making wooden planks (Taiwan technology)
• Making veneer onto wood, HDF, MDF, plywood etc.
• Making GOSACO DOOR for export – Monopoly product (Vietnam Technology)
• Wood embed brick for export – monopoly product (Vietnam Technology)
• Making solid floor tiles, industrial wooden floor tiles (for domestic and export) – Monopoly product (Vietnam Technology)

Situated in the Tan Phuoc Khanh Commune of Tan Uyen District – Binh Duong Province and covering an area of more than 30,000m2, GOSACO Production Base in Binh Duong which is 40 km from Ho Chi Minh city to the East has an favorable position. The production base here annually produces more than 30,000 m3 of finished wood products of high value, satisfying a large proportion of the demand for wood products in Southern Vietnam and creating jobs for thousands of labourers.
