i used subtrate in my cups too but they wer dieing aswell then i found out that you get better results if you leave them in the cups with nothing and none have died so far

If you have problems with them getting out of the laying tank try adding a 2″ coat of petroleum jelly along the inside rim of the tank.
It works pretty well for crickets, and excellent for discoid roaches. I’m sure it will drastically cut down on the successful escapes.
is dead because you have food in the pot but no water. im in my first atempt and i have 12/ 17 superworms curled after 9 days , and one pupa . so im doing ok! i tend not to put and food in their!

lol, like a month ago I give some superworms to my chameleon and I let them in the terarium and now, I just fond like 10 beattles in the cage.
if you plan on turning all of the 1000 supers into beetles, you will defenetly have enough. Just remember though sometimes it takes quite a while for supers to breed. a lot longer than mealworms.

you should throw out the dead beetles, there isnt much nutrience in the beetles. and i honestly couldnt tell you how many eggs the beetle lays, but its a lot lol. You cant see them at all so its hard to tell how many
