An estimated 70,000 tonnes of cassava and cassava-made products were exported in June, increasing turnover to US$590 million for the first half of this year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In the first five months, the exports totalled 1.56 million tonnes, fetching a total of $555.6 million. Both product volume and turnover were higher than those of last year, increasing by 43.1 and 89.12 per cent, respectively.
