these are pink not purple!
They will survive warm or cold climates, but warmer is more optimal. I like them because they bloom so early, one of the first signs spring is around the corner. Just planted 21 of them.

They are mainly a warm climate tree, but mine grows well in north. We loose blooms to the frost and freezes often. see my new vid
