Instructions

    1. Pick up a Gerber daisy plant at a garden center. They are popular flowers, so you should be able to find them at most stores selling bedding plants.
    2. Inspect the plant closely. The ideal one that you choose should have buds that have yet to bloom. Opened flowers will not last as long after you plant them.
    3. Find a sunny location. Gerber daisies need full sun to thrive. Since it is in full sun, you need to give it extra water on very hot days.
    4. Fertilize the soil. The soil should be well draining and be fertilized before planting.
    5. Dig a deep enough hole for the plant. The hole should be big enough for all of the plant’s roots. The crown of the plant should be level with the top of the hole.
    6. Take the Gerber daisies out of the container and transplant into the ground. You should place the Gerber daisies at least 12 inches apart.

Tips & Warnings

  • Gerber daisies can also be planted outside in large potted plant holders.

  • It is not recommended that you attempt to grow Gerber daisies from seed. They are very delicate and require exacting conditions to thrive.
