My 2 trapdoor snails(Sleepy & Boss) have had 3 babies so far. They had them 3 or 4 days ago. I feed them all tropical fish flake food.
Great vid! You’re a very engaging presenter. Thanks. Pipette is the word you were looking for.
I bought 2 jts’s this past thursday. The big one comes out at night and stays out until dawn. It sure can eat. The smaller one hasn’t come out since i bought them. I wonder if it is ill.
Nice vid, only thing I see wrong is you said stress zyme is a live bacteria. That is not true, it is a bacteria enhancer. Stress zyme will help the bacteria grow faster, but it does not contain any within.
that y my snail wont come out
@rubusroo68 Females live 4 to 6 years and males live 3 to 5 years.
Cute little baby. I just bought a few trapdoors for my tank. I have a 29 gallon eclipse with a built in filter and no matter what I do the water is never crystal clear. I’ve read that traps will filter the water for me. Hope it works.
nice vid i might get some good job
i think they can live anywhere from 5 to seven years but you may google it and see what others have to say. I’ve had mine since about june 09 so you may know a little more about their behavior than I do but yea they are great because they don’t over populate the tank
They are great snails, I got three adults back in May ’09 & although 2 of the adults died quite recently, they gave birth to around 10 viable ones in total. I keep them with goldfish in 240L tanks about 20c (70f)
Do you know long they can live for?
