Brian Gundy Reveals All His Secrets About Breeding Ball Pythons

I’ve been receiving a lot of comments about how difficult it is for inexperienced ball python breeders to get information on how to breed ball pythons, I thought I would try and help those that are stumbling through the process. Please give me a call at 408.981.6694 or e-mail me at fgsnakes@sbcglobal.net if you have any questions

Females should be at around 1500 grams and some males have bred as small as 400 grams.

    Good luck

    Hey Bill,
Most snakes are nocturnal. They need to thermal regulate, but don’t need to bask under a heat lamp. Most snake breeders use flex watt heater tape. This allows the snake’s cages to heat up from below the animal. Only a portion of the tub is heated so the snake can find an area to cool off if it wants. If you have any more questions please feel free to call me at 408.981.6694.

Yes, I do during the breeding season. My females will usually eat right up until they ovulate. My biggest concern is that my males continue to eat through out the season. Sometimes the males will go off feed and never go back, and eventually die. Make sure your males are in good weight before the breeding season.
