An Giang Import – Export Company, abbreviated ANGIMEX, was established on July 23rd , 1976 under the Decision no.
73/QÄ-76 signed by Mr. Tran Tan Thoi and it officially started the operation in September 1976. ANGIMEX the successor of Angiang Foreign Trade Company has changed its names a few times according to its scopes of activities as the company experienced changes of the nation’s economy.
Angiang Foreign Trade Company was changed to Angiang Import-Export Corporation on December 31st, 1979 under the Decision no. 422/QÄ/UB of Angiang People’s Committee. And due to the nation-wide reformation of the foreign trade, the company was renamed An Giang Import – Export Company in 1988 and has gone by this name ever since.
So far, ANGIMEX has been recognized as one of the leading companies of Angiang Province specializing in food processing and agricultural products as well as trade and service activities. Especially, with the license for direct import and export granted in 1988, ANGIMEX has advantages in maintaining, developing domestic and international markets as well as enhancing co-operation, investment and joint venture with foreign partners.
